Dear Mr. Herman,
I have had a great Prep year and I think your role is very big in that year. We care for you very much and I think you care for us as much as we do for you. None of my teachers had ever cried for me before. And I had never cried for one of my teachers. But you did cry for us and made me cry too. Even though I cried I want to tell you that I am not sad. I am happy that we succeeded. Because if we hadn't succeeded, it would have meant that there is a problem. But we did succeed. And we know that you are a very (very very very...) good teacher. Besides being happy though I feel wistful and I know I will feel this way for a very long time. I will miss the different ways to say "hello" and "goodbye", the flashcards that are hanging from the ceiling, the seating puzzles, the G.A.M.E., Jolly Ranchers, The news, Tunesday, the reading activities, our class library, Hall of Fame, our calender, the camel that I (accidentally) killed, the man who was killed by a giant doughnut, Herman Special Cookies, Mr. Sherman, Herbert Wimple, Herbetta, Ripping Midget Clown, Oliver (the lizard), reading journals, You, You, You, You, You...
